The Write Stuff- Michael Kors Very Hollywood Signature Pen

Michael Kors- you are a genuis! Now your handwriting can smell great even if your penmanship stinks thanks to the Very Hollywood Signature Pen ($25). The fragrance oil, which contains jasmine and gardenia, is blended with ink-- you can smell the scent if you sniff the paper. (Can't you just picture a femme fatale, sitting at a beautiful writing desk penning a Dear John note... Later, an unsuspecting man opens the note only to be heartbroken by the words- nay the scent- of his former lover....) Mr. Kors, you have my permission to use that for your commercials. http://www.michaelkors.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod6670001&cmCat=search

LAFCO- Waffer Soaps

Uhm... leave me a comment if you like packing soap for a trip??? No? I find it a complete pain in the butt. I try to always leave a bar of soap out for over night visitors but I have anxiety because I never know if A) I have a scent/brand that they would like and B) what do I do with the rest of the &%*$ing bar once they're gone? I thought I'd figured it out by just using liquid soaps but they are either made for male or female. So screw it, these mini bars are just perfect. I love that they are each a different scent and they are small enough to throw away after your guests are gone. They are milled seven times so you don't have to worry about them spliting and the colors will make your day. Get your own: www.lafco.com. (Order extras for me and we can split the shipping!)

Egg Crate- Anthropologie

I'm embarassed to say it- but I found out about anthropologie from my mother-in-law. Yes- she's stylish-- but shouldn't I have been the one with the store catalogue lying around? The whole darn store is adorable (and we have a new one at the Streets of Southpoint) but I couldn't resist sharing this egg crate! It's so much cuter than the styrofoam ones from the grocery store. And for the dear readers who have chickens (wife of a fabulous redneck) here's what you can put those newly laid treasures. Omelets for all!!! www.anthropologie.com

Giverny Rug by Company C

A great rug can completely transform a room. I've decided that my next house will have a cute built-in kitchen table and this rug would be perfect underneath it in the summer time. It's artsy, fun, and a great way to introduce (or pull) colors into a room. Add for $68- it's a steal.

Rosanna, Inc. Initially Yours Mug

I love calligraphy... Love it to the point that I collect old letters just because I like the way they look. There's something so personal in someone's handwriting... It's as if you have capture a part of them instead of just generic computer print. Know just how passionate I am about calligraphy you can appreciate the fact that I lost it when I saw these mugs from Rosanna, Inc. http://www.rosannainc.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=rosanna&Category_Code=118

18th century script is one of my favorites and I can't think of a better way to start the morning than sipping out of one of these beauties. And for $15 they are at a great price point to give as a birthday or hostess gift.

Sea Bags

I love it when old things are new again but only if it's done tastefully. Let's face it- shabby chic could be renamed "Chic or Shitty" because it either works or it doesn't. Sea Bags, however, totally gets it right! They handcraft brand new tote bags out of old recycled sails. The bags are ultra durable (with beautiful numbers) and symbols and they are a great alternative to the LL Bean bags that EVERYONE has.

It's really neat to realize that before the bag makes it's way into your hands- it's already sailed around the world. Plus there's something about carrying around a recycled sail that makes you feel nautical-- even if your are inland. Love it! Get your own bag to love here: http://seabags.com/index.php.

Rowenta Travel Iron

Rowenta has been around since 1909. Their new product line includes the Rowenta travel iron weighing a scant 1.5 lbs. I hate traveling and packing but with this super cute and convenient product I'll manage. I love it when a fun product makes you want to do things that you typically avoid. :) http://www.rowentausa.com/rowenta/frame.aspx

WhoMi Pocket Planner- GREAT for MOMS!

I found this planner online after looking for something that would keep track of everyone' schedule in one location. Currently, I keep track of 3 family members, 3 sitters and diet points- things can get complicated. If it's not in this planner-- it's not happening at my house :) I love the color coding and the ease of use. It's small enough to fit in one's purse which is a HUGE plus. DB Fletcher (Capstan) Table

Ode to the DB Fletcher Table: How I love the smoothness of your expansion... (that's what she said!).... For only $95,000 you could be mine... Or I could get a new house instead.

Check out this AMAZING work of ART! http://www.dbfletcher.com/capstan/

And then tell me how cool you think this is as well.

Levenger Notebooks

It must be said that I love all things school supply related. While some are okay with their BIC pens, I'm a Uniball girl through and through. Recently I was christened into the world of Levenger notebooks. Although they have been around since 1995, I just got in the on the act.

They are the IDEAL notebooks/planners for anyone out there who loves the simplicity of a spiral composition book with the convenience of a three ring binder. (Hey left handers- you can pull the sheets out and then insert them back to the notebook later!!!) They have great inserts as well so that you can create address books, monthly planners, project charts and To Do lists. Levenger also makes a hole punch so that any papers you may want to include can be added as well. Check them out at http://www.levenger.com/.
